Imitrex is used to treat migraine headaches.

How Drug Works
Imitrex targets the blood vessels and the nerves which cause the migraine headaches.
How To Take
When you have migraine simptoms take one dose of Imitrex. In some cases two doses, but not more than 200 mg a day, can be taken only if instructed by your personal healthcare practitioner.
Possible Side Effects
The following side effects can occur when taking Imitrex: dizziness, nausea, fatigue, drowsiness
Drug Warnings And Precautions
If you have any of the following conditions you should not take Imitrex: allergy to Imitrex, Raynaud syndrome, strokes in the past, certain types of heart disease,
transient ischemic attacks, uncontrolled blood pressure, peripheral vascular disease. You should consult your personal doctor before taking this drug if
you smoke, have high cholesterole or high blood pressure, diabetes.
Overdose Information
In case of overdose you must get immediate medical care.
Drug Interactions
Before taking this drug inform your personal doctor if you take any headache medication, ergotamine or MAO inhibitors
such as linezolid, furazolidone, tranylcypromine, phenelzine, selegiline.
Missed Dose
Imitrex is not to be taken routinely. Only take this drug when a migraine attack occurs.
Storage Instructions
Keep this drug in its container, at normal temperature away from moisture and heat. Keep it out of the reach of children.
Pregnancy/Nursing
If you are pregnant please consult your personal doctor before taking Imitrex.
