Drug Uses
Synalar is used to reduce itching, redness, and swelling associated with many skin conditions.
How To Take
Apply a small amount of drug to the affected area. Gently rub the drug in until it is evenly distributed. Wash your hands after applying this drug, unless your hands are part of treated area. Do not bandage or wrap the affected area unless directed otherwise by your doctor.
Drug Warnings And Precautions
If your condition shows no signs of improvement or becomes worse within a few days, check with your doctor. Avoid contact with the eyes. Do not use Synalar longer than the time prescribed. Tell your doctor if you are breast-feeding before taking this drug.
Missed Dose
If a dose is missed, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next application, do not take the missed dose and continue with your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.
Possible Side Effects
Some of the side effects you may experience include: skin thinning and discoloration, itching, burning, redness, or swelling not present before using this drug.
Storage Instructions
Store Synalar at room temperature, away from heat and light. Keep out of the reach of children.
Overdose Information
Synalar may be harmful if swallowed. Seek emergency medical attention if an overdose is suspected.
Additional Information
Do not use this drug for purposes other than those for which it was prescribed. Do not share Synalar with others.
